Nuclear Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Purdue has introduced a training program designed specifically for nuclear pharmacy technicians. Many times technicians are asked to perform specific tasks within the pharmacy, and do them, but do not understand why they are performing the task. This course provides them with the training they need so that they understand not only what to do, but why. Specific modules include:
- Radiation Physics
- Radiation Safety
- Regulatory Issues
- Proper use of equipment
- Radiation Biology

The six-day on-campus program brings together the lecture material with practical hands-on laboratory experience that will increase job knowledge, job satisfaction and employee retention.
Nuclear Pharmacy Clinical Refresher Program
The Clinical Refresher Program is designed for practicing radiopharmacists who would like to expand their knowledge of the drugs they dispense on a daily basis. This excellent review session is designed to enhance the clinical competencies of the practicing radiopharmacist and will supplement training on procedures within the pharmacy. The course is open to Board Certified Nuclear Pharmacists and those seeking BCNP status. The six day course is a great way to show commitment to your pharmacists' continuing education.
